Spire Healthcare were looking for a partner to maintain the exterior of all 43 of their sites across the UK including all roofing and guttering.  Initially, PPM were approached to develop a full audit of all sites and to develop a budgeted and job costed three year plan of maintenance.  Following that, PPM prices were tested by a third-party quantity surveying company and the contract for the full three years awarded.  This multi-million pound contract ensures that Spire sites remain watertight, highly presentable and above all safe.

In order to ensure that this high risk work is delivered safely and considerately, we employ serving fire offices to conduct blind audits on our site teams as they work.  This approach has seen huge innovation in access and methods of working that improve and reduce the disturbance levels to patients as well as having delivered zero reportable accidents this year.

Our focus on maintaining a roof to its maximum optimal lifespan has meant a 45% saving against their original budget for expected roof replacements.  Our dedicated multi-skilled teams of roofing technicians and specialist lead workers are able to ensure that each site is watertight first time so that disturbance is kept to a minimum.  Together with our innovation around access and noise, hospital management, ward nurses and patients have continuously praised PPM for the way in which we have approached the works.
